Stephen Richards - Empowering you to become emotionally strong
Victimization, of any kind, can leave us feeling bitter and angry and these negative emotions that can engulf us, affecting our relationships, sometimes our physical health and taking away any hope of a positive outlook on life.

No matter if you are a survivor of a crime, abuse or any other act where you were affected beyond your control, you have the power to take the step forward and release the negative emotions and taking back control .

The decision to break this cycle of negativity in our lives and thoughts is a conscious decision we must make.  We cannot do this as long as we harbor resentful feelings against those who have hurt us.

We cannot change the past events that have affected us, but we can change how we react and respond to them.

Understand that, as a survivor and no matter how bad your experience was, there is always something positive to take away from it.  It may be an important lesson in life or a deeper understanding of yourself or someone else. Look closely and find that positive, it will help you move on, even though it may be painful.

By taking this positive step forward, you will feel the benefits quickly, because you will allow yourself to feel better.

"Shine Bright Like The Star Wars Jedi You Are" Says Stephen Richards

Develop Jedi Self-Confidence: Unleash the Force within You

How does one get a high self-confidence like a Jedi Knight? Have you ever criticized, even cursed yourself for doing something wrong? Have you tried torturing yourself by doing a monologue of how silly and stupid you are, and how useless you are to society?  If you have been doing this on a regular basis, then you may have a low self-confidence. After all, you would not find a Star Wars Jedi warrior going through a self-confidence crisis.

A Jedi with self-confidence has a good all-round overall image or value of themselves. It is how you look at yourself when you look in the mirror that matters. If you look in the mirror and you see a loser who can do nothing more than commit mistakes, then you may have a very low self-image. So get working on that Jedi-like self-confidence.

A Jedi’s self-confidence does not come from out of the blue. It is not something we are born with, although it is partly determined by the circumstances into which we were born. It is not manna from heaven and it cannot be bought by money.

Low self-confidence can be self-destructive, and it often manifests itself as negativity. Self-confident people are generally more positive – they believe in themselves and their abilities, and they also believe in living life to the full, just as a Jedi would.

Develop Jedi Self-Confidence
So how do you build this sense of balanced self-confidence, founded on a firm appreciation of reality? Well the bad news is that there’s no quick fix, or 5-minute solution.

The good news is that building self-confidence is readily achievable, just as long as you have the focus and determination to carry things through. And what’s even better is that the things you’ll do to build self-confidence will also build success – after all, your confidence will come from real, solid achievement. No-one can take this away from you!

Plan of action
Look for a model (someone who has self-confidence like a Jedi) and learn from them. What is it they do that makes them confident, how do they act?

Focus on your achievements rather than your failures. If you do find yourself thinking about how you failed then look at what you managed to do right and how you could correct what you did next time.

Work on any skills you need to do what you want, you can never be over trained or over skilled for any challenge in life.

Do not be too competitive or compare yourself with others. Be yourself and accept that life is not a race against others but your self-confidence depends on you and your personal needs.
